Google Postmaster issues

Use this guide when Google Postmaster data is missing, not updating, or doesn’t match what you see in Google Postmaster Tools.

  • Domain not verified in Postmaster Tools — Add and verify your sending domain in Google Postmaster Tools first. Follow Google Postmaster and Deliverability — Google Postmaster for the steps to connect and verify in InboxEagle.
  • Verification failed — Ensure the DNS record (TXT or other required record) is correctly added at your DNS provider and has propagated. Re-check the verification instructions in Postmaster Tools and InboxEagle.
  • No data or stale data — Google provides data on a delay (often 24–48 hours or more). New domains may take time to accumulate enough volume for metrics. Confirm you’re sending sufficient volume through the verified domain.
  • Wrong domain or property — Verify you’ve connected the correct domain and that InboxEagle is linked to the right Postmaster Tools property.
  • Understanding reputation — Use the Google Postmaster docs to interpret domain reputation, spam rate, and other metrics. InboxEagle surfaces this data for monitoring; for full detail see Google’s documentation.
