Google Postmaster issues

Use this guide when Google Postmaster data is missing, not updating, or does not match what you see in Google Postmaster Tools directly.

  • Domain not verified in Postmaster Tools — Add and verify your sending domain in Google Postmaster Tools first. Verification requires adding a DNS TXT record to your domain. After verification, connect to InboxEagle from Integrations → Google Postmaster Tools.
  • OAuth account mismatch — The Google account you use to connect InboxEagle must have access to the Postmaster property for the sending domain you want to monitor. If you manage Postmaster with a different Google account than you use for other services, make sure to use the correct one during the OAuth flow.
  • Token expired — If the integration shows Error or Disconnected, go to Integrations → Google Postmaster Tools and click Reconnect to re-authorize.
  • Inherent Google delay — Google processes and publishes Postmaster data 24–72 hours after sending. This delay is on Google’s side and cannot be reduced.
  • Insufficient volume — Google requires a minimum sending volume to Gmail addresses before generating metrics. If your Postmaster dashboard in InboxEagle shows “insufficient data,” send more volume to Gmail recipients or wait — data accumulates over time.
  • Wrong domain selected — Confirm you are viewing the correct sending domain in InboxEagle. Multiple domains may be connected; use the domain selector in the Postmaster section.
  • Domain reputation — See Google Postmaster integration for a full explanation of the HIGH/MEDIUM/LOW/BAD reputation tiers and what each means for Gmail deliverability.
  • IP reputation — Postmaster also shows IP reputation separately from domain reputation. If your domain reputation is HIGH but IP reputation is MEDIUM or LOW, the issue is with your sending IP pool, not your domain’s content or authentication.

InboxEagle syncs Google Postmaster data on a daily schedule. To force an immediate sync:

  1. Go to Integrations → Google Postmaster Tools
  2. Click Sync now
  3. Wait for the sync to complete (typically under a minute)
