Yahoo Sender Hub issues
Use this guide when Yahoo Sender Hub data is missing, not updating, showing unexpected complaint rates, or the integration fails to connect.
Connection and domain verification
Section titled “Connection and domain verification”- Domain not verified in Yahoo Sender Hub — Verify your sending domain at sender.yahoo.com by adding the required DNS TXT record. Only verified domains are returned by Yahoo’s API. Allow up to 48 hours for DNS propagation after adding the record.
- OAuth account mismatch — The Yahoo account you use to connect must have access to your Sender Hub property. Use the same account that manages your Sender Hub dashboard.
- Connection expired or errored — If the integration shows Error or Disconnected, go to Integrations → Yahoo Sender Hub and click Reconnect. Yahoo OAuth tokens expire and require periodic re-authorization.
Data not showing or delayed
Section titled “Data not showing or delayed”- 24-hour data delay — Yahoo publishes Sender Hub data approximately once every 24 hours. This delay is set by Yahoo and cannot be shortened. InboxEagle processes and displays new data within minutes of receiving it.
- Insufficient volume — Yahoo requires minimum sending volume to Yahoo and AOL addresses before generating complaint rate metrics. Very low-volume senders may see no data or a persistent 0% complaint rate that does not reflect actual activity.
- Domain selector — If you have multiple sending domains connected, confirm you are viewing the correct domain in the InboxEagle dashboard.
Complaint rate interpretation
Section titled “Complaint rate interpretation”- 0.10% threshold — Yahoo’s documented warning threshold. If your complaint rate crosses this level, Yahoo classifies your program as at-risk. Review the Yahoo Sender Hub integration page for a full explanation of risk zones and next steps.
- Complaint rate spike — A sudden spike often correlates with a specific campaign or list segment. Cross-reference with your Klaviyo campaign history for sends to Yahoo/AOL addresses around the same date.
- Complaint rate vs spam placement — A rising complaint rate precedes spam placement changes by 24–72 hours. If you see complaint rate climbing toward 0.10%, act before placement degrades.
